Hi, I’m Tyler Fay.
My name is Tyler Fay, and I am proud to call St. Croix my home. As a senatorial candidate for the St. Croix District representing the USVI Green Party, I am running because I believe in the power of accountability, sustainable growth, and dedicated service to the people of this island.
Growing up, I knew early on that the Virgin Islands was where I wanted to build my life. The natural beauty of these islands is matched only by the incredible talent, rich culture, and deep-rooted history of its people. Overcoming adversity and standing resilient in the face of storms—both natural and economic—is woven into the very fabric of the Virgin Islands spirit. But resilience should not be a prerequisite for survival; it should be the foundation upon which we build a stable, prosperous future.
We face unique structural and constitutional challenges, particularly regarding federal representation and equity. Navigating these hurdles requires leadership that doesn’t just acknowledge the struggle, but actively works to build solutions.
My background bridges philosophy, English, and hands-on construction. In practice, this means I value clear communication, absolute transparency, and—above all—ethical, tangible results. I am a problem solver by trade. In my professional career, dealing with complex logistics and overcoming daily obstacles is standard practice. On St. Croix, we face distinct challenges, from upgrading our infrastructure and stabilizing WAPA across the territory, to creating real solutions for affordable housing. My commitment to addressing the housing crisis isn't just talk; I actively work to design and build sustainable, hurricane-resistant modular housing right here in our community.
I approach the challenges facing St. Croix with the focus, discipline, and determination of a championship mindset—facing them head-on with a total commitment to delivering results for the Virgin Islands people.
I am not a career politician, and I am not driven by personal ambition. I am a candidate because I love the Virgin Islands, and I believe that collaborative, transparent leadership can build a stronger, self-sustaining St. Croix. Together, we can champion heritage, elevate our standard of living, and ensure our voices are heard clearly on every stage.

My Background
Tyler Fay, a resident of Christiansted, is a specialist in hurricane resistant modular housing
and the head of Caribbean Cargotecture. He was born and raised in Washington DC and
graduated St. John’s College High School where he was a member of the National Honors
Society. He then moved to Baltimore where he attended and graduated Towson University
earning a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy and a minor in English.
During college, Tyler started a landscaping business that transitioned into a career in construction
after meeting a stone mason. He went onto construct a brick pizza oven located at The Arthouse
in Hampden Baltimore City.
It was during college that Tyler also started investing in residential real estate and also held the
title of lessor. After renovating and selling his first two homes, he took on the historic renovation
of Tucker R Dearing’s house, a notable lawyer who worked alongside Clarence Mitchell and the
NAACP.
Upon finishing the renovation of Mr. Dearing’s house, he moved to St. Croix in 2022 with the
purpose of starting Caribbean Cargotecture and building hurricane resistant modular housing.
On St. Croix, Tyler has worked on numerous jobsites, most notably being a tile subcontractor at
the Walter M Hodges housing units. He successfully finished his initial model home, “The Tidy”
in 2025.
